A number of years ago I lived in the country.  We had a pretty dark sky, so I would go out there at night to try and learn the constellations or perhaps observe a meteor shower.  One time when I was out there  a large number of fireflies  began flashing. It was magical.  It was the early days of digital photography and I tried to capture their magic so I could share it. I failed for a long time even capturing a single firefly.

Eventually the cameras got better and I started to learn more about fireflies and night time photography. It led me to a passion for capturing the world after the sun goes down. I share my photographs in the hope that they will inspire you to go out and enjoy the night.
